A MOMENT TO CONSIDER

The final chapter of Kefei's fictional odyssey brings his imagined companions, Leonardo da Vinci and Jean-Paul Sartre, to the last chamber of a mysterious tower. A glowing artifact offers each traveler a separate doorway after their shared trials.

Their farewell gathers the story's themes of creation, reflection, and balance. The narrator leaves alone but carries the encounter forward, treating an ending as a responsibility to use what companionship has taught him.
