Being Bold in Egypt: Awakening 4

A MOMENT TO CONSIDER

A narrow opening in a limestone wall at the Met draws Kefei toward a partially hidden statue of Kaemsenu. The effort of slowing down and looking closely turns an ordinary museum visit into a meditation on presence.

He relates the encounter to writing and to a changing understanding of success. The essay asks what it means to make something meaningful without depending on immediate visibility, measurable recognition, or a large audience.
