A MOMENT TO CONSIDER
Driving east from Reno to Salt Lake City, Kefei revisits a route associated with his move west after completing his doctorate in 1994. The landscape brings back the anticipation and uncertainty surrounding his first engineering job in the United States.
Traveling in the opposite direction places the younger graduate beside his retired present self. A fresh visit to Salt Lake City adds detail to old memories and invites him to consider the decisions between those two journeys.
